Overview

CodeBrave is recruiting a Coding Tutor to teach students aged 7-17 using CodeBrave Tutor’s curricula. Candidates should have prior teaching or tutoring experience and technical skills in coding and robotics. A Computer Science / Engineering degree is preferable but not essential. We train all of our tutors in child psychology and teaching methodology.
 

We are looking for candidates with excellent communication and English language skills, the ability to motivate and connect with children, and an interest in developing themselves and responding to feedback.​


Responsibilities

The Coding Tutor’s duties will include:

  1. Tutoring: Prepare for and deliver live 60-minute coding and robotics tutoring sessions to students in the UK, the Gulf or elsewhere during selected time slots.

  2. Teacher training: Participate in quarterly trainings on teaching methodology and child psychology.


Desired Qualifications

  • Proven experience of technical skills in software engineering, specifically HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React.

  • Experience teaching children.

  • Excellent facilitation skills with the ability to motivate, direct, and train youth.

  • A high level of initiative and self-motivation.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

Length of contract

2 months initial trial period, with extension based on performance.

Time commitment

Flexible, with a minimum of 2 hours per week (usually in the evenings)


Remuneration

$20 USD (fresh) per hour for one-on-one sessions and $30 USD (fresh) per hour for group sessions.
